Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to a depth of about 2 inches at 375°F (190°C).
- Using a funnel or squeeze bottle, pour some batter into the hot oil in a looping circular motion.
- Cook the funnel cake for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown, flipping with tongs or a slotted spoon.
- Remove the funnel cake from the oil and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the top while still warm.
