Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to a depth of about 2 inches at 375°F (190°C).
  5. Using a funnel or squeeze bottle, pour some batter into the hot oil in a looping circular motion.
  6. Cook the funnel cake for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown, flipping with tongs or a slotted spoon.
