A delicious twist on classic banana bread, packed with protein and perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup protein powder (whey or plant-based)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional add-ins: chocolate chips or nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir until there are no lumps.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet banana mixture and fold gently until just combined.
  6. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes
