Description
These Air Fryer Churro Bites are a lighter twist on the classic treat—crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and rolled in warm cinnamon sugar. Made without deep frying, they come together in just 20 minutes and are the perfect guilt-free snack for family nights, parties, or cozy afternoons.
Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour)
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons coconut sugar (or monk fruit sweetener)
½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
Olive oil spray (for coating before air frying)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons coconut sugar (for coating)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
Stir in almond milk and 2 tablespoons of coconut sugar until a sticky dough forms.
Pipe or spoon bite-sized portions onto parchment paper.
Lightly spray with olive oil spray.
Air fry at 350°F for 8–10 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
While still warm, roll churro bites in a cinnamon + sugar mixture.
Serve immediately and enjoy warm.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
Reheat in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes to revive the crisp coating.
Add vanilla extract for extra flavor, or swap cinnamon sugar for pumpkin spice in the coating for a seasonal twist.
