Ingredients
- Puff Pastry
- Mixed Berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
- Sugar
- Cornstarch
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla Extract
- Egg Wash (beaten eggs or dairy-free alternative)
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine the mixed berries, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir gently until well coated.
- Roll Out the Puff Pastry: On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut Into Strips: Cut the rolled pastry into strips about 1 inch wide and 6 inches long.
- Fill and Twist: Place a small spoonful of the berry filling on one end of each pastry strip, fold over, and twist.
- Egg Wash: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and brush each twist with egg wash.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
- Cool and Serve: Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Avoid overfilling to prevent leakage during baking. Use a light touch when rolling out the pastry.
