- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are set.
- Whisk powdered sugar and milk until smooth for filling.
- Spread vanilla cream on half of the cookies and top with another cookie to make a sandwich.
- Melt additional chocolate chips and drizzle over the assembled cookies.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute butter with coconut oil and use plant-based milk.
