- Shortcrust Pastry

Instructions
- Prepare the Pastry: Roll out shortcrust pastry to about 5mm thick.
- Prepare the Filling: Sauté onions, then add carrots and mushrooms, followed by ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add Flavours: Stir in beef stock and Worcestershire sauce, letting it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Assemble the Pie: Preheat oven to 200°C, layer half of the pastry in a pie dish, add meat mixture, and cover with remaining pastry.
- Brush and Bake: Brush with egg wash and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden.
- Serve and Enjoy: Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm with sides.

Experiment with different fillings and serve with traditional sides like mushy peas or mash.
