- 1 lb (450g) lean ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup diced pickles
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 package puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onions for 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Mix in garlic powder, diced pickles, and salt; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- Unroll puff pastry on a floured surface, roll out slightly, and cut into 4×4 inch squares.
- Spoon cheeseburger filling into the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to create a triangle and press edges together. Crimp with a fork for security.
- Brush each pocket with egg wash.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
