- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 cup Sloppy Joe Sauce
- 1 loaf Garlic Bread
- 1.5 cups Shredded Cheese (Cheddar or Mozzarella)
- 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons Butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add finely chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until onions are translucent.
- Pour Sloppy Joe sauce into the skillet, mixing it thoroughly. Lower heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Slice the loaf of garlic bread in half lengthwise. Mix softened butter with minced garlic and spread on both halves.
- Spoon the Sloppy Joe filling onto each half of the garlic bread. Top with shredded cheese.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a couple of minutes, then slice and serve.
