Description

A nutritious and delicious chia jam made from chia seeds and your favorite fruits, perfect for spreading on toast or mixing into yogurt.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup chia seeds
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen fruit
  • 24 tablespoons natural sweetener (Honey, Maple Syrup, or Agave Nectar)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup water (or fruit juice for flavor)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Wash and chop fresh fruit or thaw and mash frozen fruit.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine fruit, chia seeds, natural sweetener, lemon juice, and water. Stir well.
  3. Let It Rest: Allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Adjust Consistency: Check the consistency; add more liquid if too thick or let sit longer if too thin.
  5. Store and Chill: Transfer to a clean jar and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before use.

Notes

Store in an airtight container; chia jam lasts 1-2 weeks in the fridge and can also be frozen for long-term storage.
