Deliciously crispy broccoli cheddar poppers made in the air fryer for a fun and healthy veggie treat.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh broccoli, chopped
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Prep the broccoli: Wash and chop into small florets.
- Steam the broccoli for 3-5 minutes until tender and vibrant.
- Mix the filling by combining broccoli, cheddar, cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Shape the mixture into bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Coat each ball in beaten egg and then roll in panko breadcrumbs.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
- Air fry the poppers for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Serve with your choice of dipping sauce.
Notes
For a healthier option, use whole wheat panko or low-fat cheese. Vegan alternatives for cheese and eggs are also available.
