- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs (or panko)
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by patting dry and seasoning both sides with salt and pepper.
- Create a breading station with shallow bowls for flour, beaten eggs, and a breadcrumb-Parmesan mix.
- Dredge chicken in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Fry chicken in a skillet with heated olive oil for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Make the garlic cream sauce by sautéing minced garlic in the skillet, then adding chicken broth and cream. Simmer until thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet, allowing to soak in the sauce, then serve hot with additional sauce over the top.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. Additionally, pairing with steamed vegetables or pasta enhances the meal.
