  • Author: admin

Description

A delightful and nutritious treat that combines the flavors of a classic candy bar with a healthier twist using bananas, peanut butter, and dark chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe Bananas
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cup Dark Chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Nuts (e.g., peanuts, walnuts, or almonds)
  • Pinch of Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into thick rounds, about 1 inch in thickness.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter with a touch of sea salt if desired. Spread about a teaspoon of this mixture on one banana slice, then top it with another slice to make a sandwich. Repeat until all banana slices are used.
  3. Place the banana sandwiches on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced apart. Freeze for 30-60 minutes until firm.
  4. While the banana sandwiches are freezing, melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  5. Dip each banana sandwich into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated, then return them to the baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the chocolate-coated bananas while the chocolate is still warm.
  7. Return the bananas to the freezer for at least another hour until the chocolate is firm.
  8. Once set, serve the Frozen Banana Snickers straight from the freezer.

Notes

Ensure bananas are ripe for the best flavor. Adjust freezing time based on your desired firmness.
