Description

A quick and easy garlic cheddar beer bread recipe that requires no yeast and no rising time.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a standard loaf pan with cooking spray or butter.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and half of the cheddar cheese.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the beer and milk.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  6. Add the remaining cheddar cheese and fold it in gently.
  7. Spoon the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Experiment with different cheeses and add herbs or spices for personalization. Store bread in an airtight container or freeze for up to two months.
