Description

Savory and tender grilled pork chops marinated in traditional Vietnamese flavors.

Ingredients

  • Pork Chops (Bone-in or Boneless, at least 1 inch thick)
  • Fish Sauce
  • Brown Sugar
  • Garlic (Minced)
  • Shallots (Minced)
  • Black Pepper
  • Lemon Juice
  • Sesame Oil
  • Fresh Cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Pork Chops: Combine fish sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced shallots, black pepper, lemon juice, and sesame oil. Whisk until smooth and the sugar is dissolved. Place pork chops in a resealable bag, pour marinade, seal, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. Prepare Your Grill: Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/204°C).
  3. Grill the Pork Chops: Remove pork chops from marinade and let sit at room temperature for 20 minutes. Grill pork chops for 6-7 minutes on one side.
  4. Flip and Finish Cooking: Flip chops and grill for another 4-6 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  5. Rest Before Serving: Let the pork chops rest for about 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with steamed jasmine rice and pickled vegetables.

Notes

For a spicier kick, consider adding a touch of ground chili to the marinade. Ensure to marinate for maximum flavor.
