Description

A festive and delicious hot chocolate that will uplift your holiday spirit with its whimsical green color and delightful flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk for a vegan option)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Green food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Mini marshmallows (for topping)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Few drops of peppermint extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, warm your milk, stirring constantly to avoid boiling.
  2. Add the white chocolate chips and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in green food coloring until desired hue is achieved.
  4. Add vanilla extract and, if desired, peppermint extract; mix well.
  5. Pour into mugs, top with whipped cream and mini marshmallows.
  6. Optionally, add edible glitter or crushed peppermint candies as a finishing touch.

Notes

For a thicker consistency, add a teaspoon of cornstarch mixed with milk as it heats. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days.
