Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt until well combined.
- Cream the softened butter and sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Mix in the milk and the flour mixture, alternating until just combined.
- Scoop the batter into the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Once cool, frost with icing and sprinkle on the colored decorations.
Notes
