A quick and easy recipe for Honey Walnut Shrimp, featuring crispy shrimp in a sweet and creamy sauce with crunchy walnuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup walnuts, toasted
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel.
  2. Mix cornstarch with a hint of salt and coat each shrimp.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to about 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Whisk together honey, mayonnaise, sweetened condensed milk, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  6. Toast the walnuts in a skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  7. Toss the fried shrimp in the sauce, add toasted walnuts, and mix gently.
  8. Serve on a plate, garnished with extra walnuts and a drizzle of honey.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute shrimp with scallops, and use coconut cream for a dairy-free alternative.
