Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Lemon Zest
  • Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Fresh Herbs (Basil or Arugula)
  • Red Pepper Flakes

Instructions

  1. Knead the pizza dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic. Roll it out to about 12 inches in diameter.
  2. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C), placing a pizza stone inside if you have one.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the rolled-out dough and brush it evenly.
  4. Sprinkle lemon zest over the pizza base followed by the fresh lemon juice.
  5. Add shredded mozzarella evenly across the pizza, then sprinkle grated Parmesan on top.
  6. Season with red pepper flakes and add fresh basil or arugula.
  7. Bake the pizza on the preheated stone or baking sheet for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a couple of minutes, drizzle with more olive oil, slice, and serve.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute with vegan pizza dough and nut-based cheese.
