Ingredients
- Bone-in or boneless pork chops (1-inch thick)
- Maple syrup
- Thick-cut bacon
- Dijon mustard
- Heavy cream
- Chicken broth
- Fresh garlic, minced
- Salt and cracked black pepper
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by gathering them on the counter.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until crispy (about 5-7 minutes) and drain on paper towels, leaving the fat in the skillet.
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then sear for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Lower the heat and add minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and deglaze the pan, followed by adding Dijon mustard and maple syrup. Stir well.
- Slowly add heavy cream, stirring until the sauce thickens. Return the bacon to the skillet and mix in.
- Place the pork chops back in the skillet, coating them with the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve the pork chops drizzled with sauce, garnished with fresh parsley.
