Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Maraschino Cherries, chopped
  • 1 ½ cups Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and chopped Maraschino cherries into the dough.
  6. Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden around the edges and soft in the center.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
