Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry
  • Mushrooms (Cremini or Button)
  • Cream Cheese
  • Shredded Cheese (Mozzarella or Cheddar)
  • Garlic
  • Fresh Herbs (Thyme or Parsley)
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add mushrooms and garlic, sauté until golden brown.
  2. Mix sautéed mushrooms with cream cheese and shredded cheese until well combined.
  3. Roll out thawed puff pastry on a flour-dusted surface to about 1/8-inch thick.
  4. Spread mushroom and cheese mixture evenly over pastry, leaving a small border.
  5. Roll the pastry tightly into a log shape and slice into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C), place pinwheels on parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden. Serve warm.
