- 1 cup Whole Milk
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar + extra for topping
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 loaf Brioche Bread, sliced
- Fresh Berries, for serving
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Slice the brioche into thick pieces and place them in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread slices, ensuring each piece is saturated.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
- Sprinkle granulated sugar across the top and caramelize using a kitchen torch.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving and garnish with fresh berries, whipped cream, or maple syrup.
Notes
