Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar + extra for topping
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 loaf Brioche Bread, sliced
  • Fresh Berries, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Slice the brioche into thick pieces and place them in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread slices, ensuring each piece is saturated.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Bake for about 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
  7. Sprinkle granulated sugar across the top and caramelize using a kitchen torch.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving and garnish with fresh berries, whipped cream, or maple syrup.

Notes
