Description
A refreshing and healthy Raspberry Sorbet that’s perfect for summer treats.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh raspberries (or frozen raspberries)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (or sugar substitute)
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Raspberries: Rinse the fresh raspberries under cold water and drain completely.
- Make Simple Syrup: In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine cooled simple syrup, raspberries, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth. Optionally strain for a silky texture.
- Freeze the Mixture: Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or loaf pan. Cover and freeze for about 4 hours or until firm.
- Serve with Flair: Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping. Serve in chilled bowls garnished with mint leaves or lemon slices.
Notes
Use coconut water for a tropical twist or experiment with herbs like basil instead of mint.
