- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup sugar plum jam
Instructions
- Cream the butter and powdered sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add flour, salt, nutmeg, and vanilla extract; mix on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the sugar plum jam until evenly distributed.
- Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the chilled dough to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into shapes.
- Place cookies on lined baking sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Best paired with a warm cup of tea.
