Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup sugar plum jam

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and powdered sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  2. Add flour, salt, nutmeg, and vanilla extract; mix on low speed until just combined.
  3. Fold in the sugar plum jam until evenly distributed.
  4. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the chilled dough to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into shapes.
  6. Place cookies on lined baking sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
